- Our Thoughts
John 3: 16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The Lord takes all our burdens and carries them away,
Just like the one I had the other day,
For when we cry out unto him to help us with our load,
It is like as if in our ear there is a special word.
Lean on me child I’ll bear your worry,
And when you do you wont be sorry,
I’ll put things right where they are wrong,
All praises be when you’re in song.
For problems can be met half way,
If we go on our knees and pray,
He speaks to us and let’s us know,
That within his river we do flow.
It may not happen straight away,
Your God will call the tune each day,
But put things right he surely will,
And even touch you when you’re ill.
So keep on looking to the cross,
He’ll never let you down,
Serve him with everything you’ve got,
Then one day you’ll wear a crown.
