John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Lord I had a dream last night,
It gave me such an awful fright,
Happened,
In the middle of the night.

The Devil he is devious,
Finds anyway to reach us,
Attacks us at our lowest ebb,
Like when we’re lying in our beds.

I felt like I had been on drugs,
Or even whiskey drinking,
I wondered why it happened Lord,
I lay there just a thinking.

When the Devil’s at his worst,
It’s like a shell that’s burst,
He tries to take your body over,
A crafty little rover.

But You are stronger,
Than old Satan,
And You know,
How much I hate him.

Upon Your love I do reply,
For on the cross for me You died,
My faith in You is bolder,
As I am getting older.

Kick the Devil out dear God,
Be swift now with your mighty rod,
Make him run then he can see,
He’ll not be settling into me.
