John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I’m in this house, there’s all quaint things,
Above the mantle there’s a tapestry of birds upon the wing,
Two Grecian urns are in full view,
Dear Grace is sweet to me she’s new.

Their garden is a picture,
A postcard it would make,
On looking all around you do not need a take,
there’s tomato, lettuce, runner bean.

All kinds of flowers too,
When looking all around you,
The greens offset the blue,
You’re really stepping back in time.

When entering this house,
Old furniture polished nice,
It must have cost them,
Such a price!

A lovely lady is dear Grace,
So sweet and so petite,
A darling host in every way,
she really is so sweet.

So thank you for the invite,
For cheese and biscuits too,
Especially for the cup of tea,
It warmed me through and through.
