Joan’s freezer got defrosted in a very special way,
I sat there in amazement seeing it done today,
The food came out in bright away,
She slapped it on the table there was stuff also on a tray.
You don’t believe the stuff she has,
It’s really quite amazing,
If there was any more in,
The roof would be a raising.
The bottom tray it wouldn’t shift,
The ice was all around it,
In went a bowl of water hot,
For a moment I thought there was another pot.
There’s freezer one and freezer two,
With all this food what would she do,
There’s stuff she didn’t know she had,
I laughed and laughed she’s quite a lass.
She slowly got it sorted out,
And got her things in order,
Two years on will do again,
Before any disorder.
But what I saw was food galore,
Fish meat and all assortments,
Bottles here and bottles there,
Bits of meat just everywhere.
It all got sorted out in turn,
And gradually got finished,
I’m glad there wasn’t any more,
Or I’d have fell right in it.
I had to go down on my knees,
To pull a plug out for her,
I said my prayers just as I pulled,
And hoped I’d stayed together.
