The winds blew up like thunder,
In the middle of the sea,
The height was so majestic,
Oh how could it be?
My friend and I went up a path,
A sight there to behold.
Stretching far across the way,
Large mountains where sheep they play,
Down below such murky waters,
So easy for us to slip,
Slowly bringing my foot,
On my friend I took a grip.
Don’t look downwards to the mud,
But seek the one who’s higher,
There’s the sheep the lamb of God,
To keep us from the mire,
We will not sink we will not fall,
For our dear Lord is over all.
The Devil will be trampled,
As he attacks each day,
Especially when we’re on our knees,
And unto God we pray,
When you go round a corner,
And see a mountain tall. Remember to look upwards,
For God is over all,
For the lamb of God is mightier,
Than the Devil’s own right hand,
But with Jesus on our side,
We’ll make a solid stand.
