The Garden of Eden was silent and pretty, With flowers growing wild,
Nothing much was going on,
Until one day God made man.
He formed him from dust,
And so the human race began,
God decided to call the man Adam,
So Adam roamed around the garden.
Taking in the beauty,
Yet being on his own became lonely,
Then God in his wisdom
Took a rib from Adam and made woman.
They were naked and not ashamed,
They were pure and unashamed,
God laid down a rule,
That they must not eat from the tree of knowledge.
But before Adam got Eve he had to look after the tree,
Trees and flowers and bushes and such,
So now he had a mate,
After being in the garden a while.
Eve started looking at the trees,
Then one day she stood by the tree of life,
God spoke do not touch the tree,
But there was the serpent calling to Eve.
Take an apple from the tree of knowledge they taste nice,
Temptation was so much she reached up,
And took an apple from the branch,
Although the Lord had said no.
Eve took notice of the serpent
And bit into the apple,
Her bite sent everything out of proportion,
Eve could see she was naked,
And was ashamed.
She then offered the apple to Adam,
He then took a bite,
He also felt ashamed,
And straight away they covered themselves with a fig leaf.
