I’ve listened to people’s problems,
Sometimes on the phone,
Or even shared a cup of tea,
Within their dear sweet home,
Perhaps an old lady down the street,
That I’m apt to meet,
I see all kinds of people Lord.
And have a listening ear,
And remind them of the love you have,
Why can’t they understand.
That they’re all in your plan,
Then when I’ve settled down at night,
And shared with you these prayers,
What about me Lord, what about me,
Another day begins.
Then I find some more,
Perhaps I’ve only locked the door,
Yet gracefully I listen,
And make that extra time,
For someone needed prayer.
And wanted to be well,
Only you know that Lord,
Yes only you can tell.
The day goes by it seems to fly,
Had no time for myself,
Yet I’ve gained within those hours,
I s knowledge from your tree,
Then once more in my solitude.
Sometimes on the phone,
Or even shared a cup of tea,
Within their dear sweet home,
Perhaps an old lady down the street,
That I’m apt to meet,
I see all kinds of people Lord.
And have a listening ear,
And remind them of the love you have,
Why can’t they understand.
That they’re all in your plan,
Then when I’ve settled down at night,
And shared with you these prayers,
What about me Lord, what about me,
Another day begins.
Then I find some more,
Perhaps I’ve only locked the door,
Yet gracefully I listen,
And make that extra time,
For someone needed prayer.
And wanted to be well,
Only you know that Lord,
Yes only you can tell.
The day goes by it seems to fly,
Had no time for myself,
Yet I’ve gained within those hours,
I s knowledge from your tree,
Then once more in my solitude.
I cry this simple prayer,
What about me Lord, what about me.
The next day there’s a phone call.
My daughter isn’t well,
She tells me of her burdens,
And how it is hard to cope,
I remind her of our saviour,
With him there’s always hope,
So Lord no matter where I am,
You’re part of my day’s plan,
I think you have seen me Lord,
I think you have seen me.
