My Mummy’s standing at the sink,
I really want to get a drink,
I tugged her skirt, ignored was I,
So now I’m really going to cry.
Why do you get ignored when you are small,
If only I could rise up and be tall,
It is no good I’m only five,
I’m standing here I am alive.
Dad’s sitting down and couldn’t care less,
What I was doing or if I was dressed,
Shall I throw my shoe at him,
I don’t suppose he’d even grin.
I’ll have to wait till,
Mum has finished,
Stand on a chair in front of the sink,
And hoped I didn’t fall in it.
All of a sudden the sink was free,
I got the chair climbed onto my knees,
Turned on the tap out came the water,
Then I did what I shouldn’t ought to.
My finger partly covering the tap,
The water sprayed into my lap,
Oh dear I’m know quite a mess,
What will Mum say about my dress.
The tap I turned to stop the water,
Then I fell down like a silly daughter,
Mum said you shouldn’t be climbing girl,
You’re putting my mind in a whirl.
