Eddie is getting old,
Yet with the women he is bold,
You wouldn’t believe he’s sixty five,
He really keeps us all alive.
Ed runs our over sixty’s club,
His wife speaks up when his head’ like wood,
He tells us that he’s got the brains,
But sometimes they go off the rails.
He likes to please us old folk,
Every Thursday afternoon,
To bring a smile unto our lips,
Instead of having gloom.
So happy birthday dearest Ed,
You wont be sixty five again,
Your wife will still be helping you,
Until the end she’ll see you through.
It wouldn’t be the same,
If you weren’t there to guide,
To bring us closer to the Lord,
Under his wing to hide.
We all love you very much,
Your smile and just your loving touch,
Happy birthday once again,
Don’t forget to look after your brain.
