John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

If I don’t learn to shut my mouth,
When talking to my mate,
I think I may lose her,
For opening up my gate.

I have her interests at heart,
Just thinking she could rest,
But I know Joan’s no quitter,
When put right to the test.

So if I rabbit,
Then you just shut me down,
I may find it peculiar,
And give it a funny frown.

Yet I will get the message,
And I will understand,
That you’re an individual,
With your own kind of plan.

I’m glad it doesn’t interfere,
With our friendship which is strong,
We know we have to swing along each week,
Our friendship has been long.
