John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

They gave me a reprieve,
From going in the chair,
They’d gone and shaved all my head,
It really seemed unfair.

To make me suffer all again,
It touched the centre of my brain,
Why don’t they get it over,
Take me from this misery.

And drop the final curtain,
At least my mind is free,
The time has finally arrived,
A cloth is on my head.

A cowl is put on top,
And soon I will be dead,
They’ve even clamped my legs and arms,
In case I set off an alarm.

I cannot hear I cannot see,
I only know what they’re doing to me,
A shock wave hits me I stiffen up,
The vibration is enough.

Then just once more,
My eyes will close,
I’ve then gone through,
The heavenly doors.
