The cruel sea took the boy that day,
To a resting place so far away,
The rescue men went out to search,
But couldn’t find him in the dark murk.
Each day for them it was the same,
The organisers were to blame,
How can they leave a child to play,
Then go and find they’ve gone away.
Six days gone by still he’s not found,
He’ll turn up somewhere I’ll be bound,
Then on the news it was announced,
He came on sand at Bispam Sand.
The relatives to Blackpool come,
To identify him and give him a name,
Beware of the cruel sea my friends,
Cause if not you’ll come to a very quick end.
