Why open up our mouths,
To sing all different songs,
Can’t we just say them,
After all they’re not that long.
Voices they go up and down,
And pleasing to the ear,
Others make a rotten sound,
Which makes our heads go to a frown.
Some show off in funny ways,
To sing a song is quite a rage,
They make it look so hard to do,
And others go sailing through.
It’s weird what us folk want to do,
As life goes on for you and me,
And then there’re folk who like to dance,
A step or two oh how they prance.
But man will always do their thing,
Whether they dance or even sing,
The movement of the body is really good they say,
I wonder what we’ll see or hear, upon another day.
