If we could only see within ourselves,
And look as others do,
They see our faults in different ways,
They can tell our temper too.
But then if we looked in the mirror,
And stared at it real hard,
We just might see what’s underneath,
And find you’re some kind of card.
So we have to rely on people around,
To tell us our faults when we’re wrong,
And if we take note to the things that they say,
It will go in our head like a gong.
Sometimes we’re headstrong and stroppy as well,
We don’t stop to think of our friends,
And how we can hurt them by words that we say,
Then we’re sorry after that day.
So help us to look inside ourselves,
And improve our standard of life,
And do not bring grief to our friends,
So not to cause them any grief.
