John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The two old ladies who were willing,
Between them they’ve not got a shilling,
They said to the farmer we’ll muck out the stable,
He looked at them both and said are you able,
How dare you young man we are both full of fettle,
All zippy and goey like a nettle.

The farmer gave in and gave them the job,
But said it may only be a couple of bob,
They worked very hard for five hours or more,
Then the farmer came through the door,
He stood and he stared at what had been done,
And in his hand he was holding a gun.

The two old ladies let out a big scream,
Made the man jump and hit his head on a beam.
They quickly rushed forward to see what he’d done,
Not looking down fell over his gun,
Splat went the ladies into a cow’s pat,
They hit the floor it looked like a hat.

Let’s give up this job said one to the other,
I think it was safer being a mother,
The farmer gave the old ladies their shillings,
They went on their way at least they had been willing.
