John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I’m in my second childhood,
It really is a lark,
I like to flash my torch about,
When it’s really really dark.

I like the pretty fireworks,
Excitement grows inside,
I do not like bangers,
I want to run and hide.

We want to do silly things,
Like playing conkers on a string,
Or looking at the telly at night just like we do,
I laugh at really stupid things do you?

We’re jealous of the neighbour’s dog,
He gets more food than I do,
He’s kept all warm and lovely,
But my feet get cold you see.

But as we’re getting older,
And do all silly things,
We know that God will guide us,
In everything we do.

So do not worry if you’re daft,
Or seem mentally deranged,
There’s one thing that’s for sure,
They wont lock you in a cage.
