John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Morning time is here,
The alarm rings in my ear,
I turn it off it carries on,
I thought my clock had all gone wrong.

As it kept ringing,
Even though I’d turned the switch,
I couldn’t understand it though,
There must be some kind of hitch.

So out I took the battery,
But it kept going on,
How can my alarm keep ringing,
This must be some kind of fun.

I bashed it knocked it damn near squashed it,
I thought I had gone mad,
Didn’t want to wake my mate,
She wouldn’t be very glad.

As I was getting mad,
And tied up in a knot,
Joan got out of bed,
And turned off her clock.

I looked amazed and realized,
That it was her alarm,
Madness went laughter came,
When you’re past it it’s a shame.

As we get older,
We’re getting dafter,
But oh what fun,
And such great laughter.
